Site Marketing Case Study


Customer approached our team with a request that we assist their website in over all site promotion, that would result in increased retail sales of their software product currently available off their web site.

  • Since their web hosting company did not offer visitor reports, the customer switched to Magi web hosting services.
  • We have analyzed their most popular pages and inserted META TAGS wherever applicable and submitted the site to major Search Engines. Within first 30 days, the customer reported a slight increase in incoming orders.
  • During the first month, state-wide press release was issued by the customer, announcing availability of a new product.
  • After further analysis of their site, we have recommended and implemented "Join Our Mailing List" feature into their site. This has given the customer a new capability for a friendly way to collect email addresses of those subscribers to the site, who want to hear about their special offers and promotions.
  • Initial data from visitor reports provided basis for calculating ROI formula, which was then used by customer's marketing team to obtain an approval for $10,000 advertising budget.
  • Total of 6 banners were designed to achieve the best possible click through ratio. As part of our design service, we also test each banner in a real consumer site and provide test reports click through ratio based on 3000 test exposures.

  • While planning their advertising campaign, further site analysis shown that it takes too many clicks for a consumer to actually get to the BUY button.
  • Site re-design was proposed and approved to remove some site structures, such as frames and provide easier navigation to order level for the buyer. As an immediate result of site re-design, the order ratio increased from 2.5% of visitors to 5% visitors ordering from the site.
